Emma was born in Gent, studied in Gent, and still lives here. Three excellent lifestyle choices, in our opinion.  She was catapulted to operatic fame after singing the role of Queen of the Night at the Salzburg Festival, and has never looked back. She's a frequent guest artist at the Monnaie opera house in Brussels, and sings in fact all over Europe. She will sing well-known songs by Schubert and Richard Strauss, opera arias by Dvorak as well as some new works by some of the finest and most accessible Flemish composers of our time: Lucien Posman and Mathias Coppens.
